This document is a no smoking policy.

The policy is designed to:

·                provide employers with an outline of the responsibilities of employees in relation to smoking in the workplace;

·                allow employers to specify places where smoking is not permitted in the workplace;

·                promote a smoke free workplace policy in recruitment and training for new employees; and

·                authorise placement of “no smoking” signs.

The policy may apply to all employees, contractors and visitors to the workplace and can be used on conjunction with the “Grievance policy”.
