This precedent is a letter which can be sent to the purchaser of a property confirming success at auction, the settlement date and the stamp duty amount. Use this letter when acting for a purchaser in a conveyancing matter to advise a client who has purchased a property at auction of the settlement date and stamp duty amount. It is also important to identify the purchasers and obtain a copy of identification on your file. In New South Wales, Land and Property Information NSW requires certified copies of such identification in order to register the transfer. This letter is drafted on the assumption that you have had previous contact with your client. If this is not the case, you may wish to include an introductory paragraph thanking the client for their instructions and enclosing your costs agreement. |
For a similar letter where the purchaser has not purchased a property at auction, see the separate precedent “Letter to purchaser client advising exchange, settlement date and stamp duty amount”.
