Introductory note

This document is a basic, long form agreement for engagement of a Gig worker, an independent contractor (such as a consultant) by a company (client, receiver of services supplied) where the Gig Worker contractor is an individual. It contains many optional clauses that may be either retained or discarded depending on the circumstances of the situation, including clauses with respect to personnel of the contractor and obligations of both parties. The agreement also contains shorter form confidentiality, intellectual property and restraint clauses; longer form clauses are available separately. Schedule 1 provides space for a detailed description of the services to be provided, fees, insurances and similar.
