This document establishes an agreement that provides a general set of terms and conditions for the provision of consultancy services. This agreement is written with the interests of the supplier as the priority.
Pro supplier agreement
Typically, a consultant would issue this agreement to a client. The design of the agreement is to permit the consultant to provide either general or more specific services, but be relatively light in terms of detailed obligations (on either party) and particularly the consultant.
This is not typically an agreement that would be issued by a client to a consultant, as it lacks the warranties a client may demand from a consultant. For a pro client version of this document, see “Agreement for consultancy services – pro client”.
Using this document
The precedent allows the parties to specify services in a schedule, which provides some detail to the parties in a user friendly schedule to the agreement.
This agreement is sufficiently comprehensive to deal with all matters usually relevant for a consultant when entering a services agreement with a client. There are some optional clauses within the document that may not be relevant to the consultant in every circumstance, and may be deleted.
Due to the number of “options” provided in the document, a thorough review of the agreement upon completion is strongly recommended prior to issuing to the other party.
