This document is a template consent to a person becoming a member of a company.

Under section 117 of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) (Act), shareholders must agree in writing to taking up their shares. This consent must be provided before the company can be registered.

A company will only adopt a constitution if each person specified as a member in the application for registration agrees in writing to the terms of the constitution, before the application is lodged (section 136 of the Act.)
