In all organisations there will come a time when an employee will resign. It is best therefore to prepare and keep on file a precedent letter that can quickly be customised and handed to employees on resignation. |
While thanking the employee for their service to the company, the letter also reminds the employee of post-employment obligations such as keeping the employer’s information confidential. It can also set out details of any post-employment restraints (eg on locations where the employee can work post-employment with the company).
